Therapeutic (Biological) Method

Therapeutic (Biological) Method

This method is suitable for reversible pulpitis, when inflammation is mild and limited. The dentist opens the cavity, disinfects it with antiseptics, and applies an arsenic-based medication followed by a temporary filling. After a few days, the dental nerve is removed. In cases of partial necrosis, only dead tissue is replaced by connective material. Once cleaned, the tooth is permanently sealed.

Conservative Treatment

Conservative Treatment

This treatment for pulpitis uses materials that promote healing and tissue regeneration. The root of the tooth is opened and cleaned, and then a combination of antibiotics, arsenic solution, and devitalizing agents is introduced. Hydroxide-calcium-based paste is placed to encourage rebuilding of the dental tissue.

Surgical Treatment

Surgical Treatment

When other methods fail, surgical intervention is required. The procedure involves partial removal of the root affected by irreversible pulpitis, antiseptic treatment, and sealing with therapeutic materials. This is common in cases of purulent pulpitis, hypertrophic pulpitis, or chronic inflammatory complications.

Dental pulpitis is an inflammatory condition that, if left untreated, may lead to infection that can spread or even tooth extraction. In some cases, the damaged dental tissue is replaced by connective tissue, and serious conditions like diffuse pulpitis or periodontitis may develop. That’s why regular check-ups and the prevention of pulpitis are so important.

Reviews of pulpitis treatment in Krakow

    Oksana Kravchenko

This is an excellent clinic. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a year and only came in when I had severe tooth pain. I thought the tooth would have to be extracted. But they saved it! Now I’m a regular patient here.

My child was diagnosed with inflammation of the pulp in primary teeth. I was shocked and had no idea what to do. But after treatment at Dynasty Stomatology, my child stopped being afraid of dentists. Everything went smoothly.

I had pulpitis in a front tooth. It felt like the end of the world — losing a front tooth at 30! But the treatment went perfectly. They also recommended veneers, and I happily agreed.

    Hans Becker

My pulpitis was treated over a few visits. I was in a hurry, of course, but the dentist explained that this approach is more reliable. And indeed, I’ve had no problems with that tooth since. Now I only come to this clinic!

    Oleksandr Groza

I had an incredible treatment experience at this clinic. I can confidently say that treating pulpitis doesn’t hurt. Even after the anesthesia wore off, I still felt fine. That’s the power of modern medicine.

I really appreciate that there are no hidden fees here. During the consultation, everything was explained to me, including the full cost. My pulpitis was successfully treated, and the final price matched the estimate. Very satisfying.

    Symptoms of Acute Pulpitis

In most cases, inflammation of the dental pulp comes with distinct symptoms, including:

    1. Throbbing toothache, which can worsen at night.
    2. Pain radiating to neighboring teeth, temples, or ears.
    3. Increased tooth sensitivity to hot coffee, cold air, or sweet foods.
    4. Bad breath.
    5. Change in tooth color.
    6. Swelling of the gums.
    7. Sleep disturbances.
    8. Fever.

Never ignore these symptoms — they indicate that the pulp is inflamed and needs immediate attention.

Note: Sometimes the disease progresses without noticeable signs, especially in cases of chronic pulpitis. However, even then, the affected tooth remains a source of infection that can spread and lead to serious complications. If pulpitis is not treated early, it may result in a cyst, abscess, or even tooth loss.

    Causes of Pulpitis

Pulpitis occurs when deep caries, mechanical damage to the tooth, or poorly placed fillings allow harmful microorganisms to enter the inside of the tooth. Bacteria penetrate the soft tissue through a cavity, blood vessels, or periodontal pockets, triggering an inflammatory process.

Another main cause of pulpitis is improper dental procedures, including:

In some cases, inflammation of the pulp may be provoked by chemical substances used in dental filling materials. The pulp of the tooth can also be damaged by extreme heat or cold. Weak oral hygiene, a compromised immune system, and poor general health increase the likelihood of pulpitis.

This dental problem is also more common in people with bad habits like smoking and alcohol abuse. Studies show that pulpitis is diagnosed more frequently in young adults than in the elderly.

Modern Methods for the Treatment of Pulpitis

At our dental clinic in Poland, pulpitis is treated using conservative, therapeutic, or surgical methods — the choice of treatment depends on the severity of the condition:

    1. Extirpation (Complete Pulp Removal). If all else fails, extirpation is performed — the complete removal of the pulp, including its nerve endings and blood vessels. This endodontic treatment is used only in extreme cases. Regardless of the method, anesthesia is always used to ensure the patient’s comfort during the treatment of pulpitis.

If you’re experiencing acute pain, pulpitis symptoms, or have noticed signs of caries and pulpitis, don’t delay. Early diagnosis and treatment of pulpitis helps avoid complications. Contact our clinic in Poland for a personalized treatment plan — we’re open 7 days a week and ranked among the best dental clinics.

Let us restore your smile and protect your dental health.

    Treatment Price

Treating dental pulpitis in Poland is a cost-effective solution! We offer reasonable prices for premium-quality dental care. The final cost of the treatment of pulpitis depends on several factors: the severity of your condition, the affected area, the anatomical complexity of the root canals, the materials used, and the type of anesthesia required. Please note that aesthetic restorations like ceramic crowns or veneers may also be needed.
